Our Opinion
Universal holder with a very inconspicuous stable base. The X-Grip fits almost all smartphones without adjustment or the like. For rough applications on motorcycles or mountain bikes, one should use the included tension strap. We find the screw adapter with ball, which provides the base here, very good. A directly screw-on base does not stand out on the motorcycle at all.
The X-Grip holder can, however, also have disadvantages: If one takes breaks quite often and likes to quickly remove and reattach the phone, the tightening of the tension strap can be annoying, especially with gloves. If this plays a major role for you, we recommend the RAM Quick Grip for example RAM-B-149Z-A-PD4U. In that case, the phone is simply slid in with one hand. It cannot get any faster.
